Founded in 2000, Digital Content Factory Ltd. (DCF) provides enterprise learning solutions to corporate training and higher education markets, through the development of learning products, and the offering of integrated services. Such solutions are possible based on a broad set of capabilities.
DCF has been providing software learning materials for over 20 years - specifically quick reference guides and courseware related to desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and Windows.
Beyond our standard product lines, we offer our customers custom learning solutions that aide in their delivering custom training and/or product rollout solutions. When possible, we leverage our well designed content with technology toolsets to provide a high quality, low cost model, to effectively provide solutions.
DCF's primary business is the development, sales/licensing of its quick reference guide and courseware for applications products. Many of these products are available in multiple languages, and if are not current available, can be provided with a small volume commitment.
- Quick Reference Guides - (QRGs, or guides) are professionally designed - color documents, pertaining to popular desktop application software. They allow users to quickly reference and learn how to perform many different software related tasks. In addition, our new feature or migration guides help users migrate from the current version of applications they use to a new version, which is ideal for cost effective rollouts. Our guide design has evolved over 12 years and has been used by hundreds of thousands of students.
- Courseware for Applications - are is professionally designed workbook manuals. They are designed to be half day, one day, and two day formats (although delivery may be accelerated based on training situations), as required based on relevant topics and content complexity. Our courseware is used in corporate training departments and in training companies by training facilitators to deliver instructor led training with hands-on exercises. Our course design has evolved over 20 years and has been used by millions of students.
- Services - ranging from needs analysis, customization of standard products, specific product development based on a customer's unique need, or proprietary technology or processes, as well as translation. Many of these services are provided at different levels to suit each customer's needs. The fees for these service vary based on complexity and scope, and are one-time. Many are minimal, and they are sometimes provided free based on the required volume.
The DCF team is comprised of both internal and many external resources. Such as model is extremely effective for managing the peaks-and-valleys of technology related projects, and provides customers with competitive pricing.
Doug has over 30 years of experience in the technology and learning fields. He is the CEO, responsible for business development, sales and marketing efforts. He has a Commerce degree from Concordia University, and was a co-founder of Canada's leading IT training company in the 80's and 90's.
Dean MayerDean has over 25 years of experience in the training, instructional design, technology, and publishing fields. He is the VP of Technology responsible for all aspects of DCF's products and services.
